The Journey of My Mother's Son

Jan 9, 2024

In this episode of “The Journey of My Mother’s Son” podcast, I do a monologue that will preview our travels for 2024.

For the first time since we’ve been traveling full-time, we actually know where we’ll be for the entire year.

We departed Melbourne, Florida on January 2nd to embark on a book tour for the first quarter of the year.  In January, we’ll be signing throughout Louisiana.  February, I have several signings in the Galveston, Texas area.  After we leave Galveston, we’ll head north and do book signings in Katy, Midlothian, and Grapevine, Texas during the month of March.

After Texas, we’ll head west to Arizona for the final leg of the book tour with stops in Scottsdale, Tempe, and Buckeye.

From Arizona, we’ll continue to head west to make our first stop in California, where we will doing a volunteer project at the Southern California Railway Museum in Ferris, California from April 21 through May 4.

Once we complete our project, we will tale a tour up the Pacific Coast Highway and Oregon Coast Highway before heading northwest into Great Falls, Montana.

We will meet a small group of our other full-time RV friends in Great Falls on May 30th and begin a 3-1/2-month caravan throughout Alberta, the Northwest Territory, the Yukon, BC, and Alaska.

Once we return the continental United States, we’ll slowing make our may back east to Pennsylvania with stops in Rocky Mountain National Park, Pikes Peak, Chicago, Illinois, and Monroe, Michigan.

We’ll only be in Pennsylvania for about 10 days from November 1-10, and then we’ll head south to spend the remainder of 2024 back in Florida.

Alaska has been on our bucket list since we started traveling, and we’re really looking forward to taking that adventure with some friends.

Cheers to a wonderful and adventurous 2024!
